Salty Sweet Toffee Crunch Bars

1 pack of organic saltines or gluten free crackers
1/2 cup earth balance butter
1 cup packed brown sugar or 1 cup brown rice syrup ( I like the brown rice syrup)
2 1/2 cups dairy free dark chocolate chips
1 cup chopped almonds (or any kind of nut to your liking)

Directions:
Line a saladmaster cookie sheet with the crackers close together. In the small sauce pan melt the earth balance and brown sugar over medium-high heat. Stir often. Heat the mixture for about 5 minutes until it browns. Pour the buttery mixture over the crackers until they are completely covered. Bake for 15 minutes. Melt chocolate in small 1 qt pan on low heat until melted. Spread chocolate chips over the saltines. top with the nuts. Allow to completely cool. Break it apart into manageable pieces and ENJOY!!
